Canada is a place of unforgettable experiences. The kind that make you pause, take a breath, and see the world a little differently. From the raw energy of the Pacific coast to the soft stillness of a prairie sunrise, from quiet cafés on familiar streets to the northern lights swirling across the sky, beauty in this country appears in many forms. Some are vast and breathtaking. Others are found in the smallest details. All are worth capturing.

Travel closer, see more

Amidst a surge in patriotism, more Canadians are choosing to explore their own country. Recent FlightHub data shows that Canadian destinations are now the most searched on the platform, reflecting a clear shift toward meaningful, local travel. At a time when people are looking for stability, value, and connection, staying closer to home has never felt more rewarding. This shift is part of a larger “proudly Canadian” movement to invest in our local assets and reflects a renewed sense of pride in discovering and celebrating Canada from within.

In response to the current moment, FlightHub is inviting everyone to take part in Right Here, Right Wow, a photography contest that highlights the everyday and the extraordinary from coast to coast in Canada. Open to seasoned photographers and casual creators alike, the contest calls for images that reflect what this country truly means to you, be it a landscape, a moment, a place, a feeling. If it captures an honest glimpse of life in Canada, it belongs in this showcase.

Each submission becomes part of a larger story, helping others discover places they might not know about and inspiring Canadians to travel more within their own country. By sharing your view of Canada, you might be shaping someone else’s next journey.

How to enter

Participants are invited to submit one original photograph that captures a meaningful perspective of Canada. Each entry must include a short description that shares where the image was taken and what makes the moment worth remembering. Submissions can feature a wide range of subjects, including vast natural landscapes, city streets, wildlife sightings, architectural details, or quiet moments from daily life. All entries must be authentic and unedited by artificial intelligence. Once submitted, each photo has the potential to encourage others to look more closely at Canada and to explore places they may not have considered before.

What you could win

FlightHub will award three photographers with unforgettable Canadian travel experiences.

The first-place winner will receive two dream trips for two, each including round trip flights and three-night hotel stays in the Canadian locations of their choice. Second place includes one getaway for two, complete with flights and accommodations to a place in Canada you have always wanted to explore. Third place offers a round-trip flight for two to any Canadian destination, opening the door to a future moment worth capturing.

All winning photos will also be featured as part of the official contest celebration.

The deadline

The contest is now open and will accept submissions until April 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Only one photo per person will be accepted, and all images must follow the official submission guidelines.

See Canada through a new lens

The story behind a photograph can be just as powerful as the image itself. By taking part in this contest, participants have the chance to turn personal moments into shared discoveries. Each submission adds to a collective portrait of the country, one that invites others to look closer, travel further, and see Canada in a new light.
