Journalistic storytelling

The team at Canadian Geographic intrinsically understands the connection between people and place and the elemental intersection of both human and physical geography. Canadian Geographic is dedicated to uncovering and communicating stories about Canadian people, places, and issues that Canadian magazine readers want to learn more about. Cartography

Cartography is a pillar of our work at Canadian Geographic and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Our maps take many forms, from hand-drawn illustrations to rich digital interactives, simple locator maps to posters and even gymnasium-sized Giant Floor Maps, as well as specialized educational resources such as “tiled” maps designed for teachers to download, print and assemble with students. Through our cartography, we strive to relay crucial information about Canadian history, wildlife, natural formations, boundaries and society — but most importantly, about how we fit into it all. Dedicated cartographic assets provide a remarkably easy, novel and impactful way to convey your messaging and data to diverse audiences.

Canadian Geographic Education is the educational program of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Canadian Geographic Education builds and distributes educational resources to help improve students’ understanding of the world they live in and the role youth can play in creating a sustainable future. Geographically literate students are better prepared to face global challenges and have the skills necessary to become effective change agents. Canadian Geographic Basecamp Partners support the development of curriculum-linked resources on topics relating to human and physical geography, engaging students and educators from coast to coast to coast.
