Madigan Cotterill is a Toronto-based journalist, photographer and editor with a passion for the environment. She began her career in journalism while pursuing her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at the University of Guelph and then went on to earn her Master of Journalism (MJ) degree from Ryerson University. Madigan writes about conservation, wildlife, the environment and issues related to the climate crisis. As well as working as an editorial intern for Canadian Geographic in 2020, Madigan has also been on assignment with Photographers Without Borders and been published in Canadian Geographic Travel and Canadian Wildlife. If Madigan is not at her computer, you either find her traveling in another country or running Toronto’s Don Valley trails.
