Mia Beattie

Mia Beattie (she/her) is an Inuk early career scientist born and raised in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. She is currently working full time as a Technical Advisor for the Nunavut Impact Review Board, whose mandate is to protect and promote the wellbeing of the environment and people of Nunavut, through their Impact Assessment Process. She is also a youth mentor for the Ikaarvik: Barriers to Bridges program and has been involved for 8 years. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with family, getting involved in environmental/ocean related programs/projects and spreading her traditional Inuit Knowledge.
