Kenn Harper

Kenn Harper is a historian, writer, linguist, a Fellow of The Royal Geographical Society and The Royal Canadian Geographical Society, a former member of the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada, a recipient of Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and a Knight of the Order of Dannebrog (Denmark). He lived in the Arctic for fifty years, and now lives in Ottawa. He speaks and writes Inuktitut and has written extensively on Arctic history. He is the author of Minik: The New York Eskimo, Thou Shalt Do No Murder: Inuit, Injustice, and the Canadian Arctic and In Those Days: Collected Writings on Arctic History, which includes Book 1: Inuit Lives and Book 2: Arctic Crime and Punishment.
