The archipelago of Hadia Gwaii, off the central coast of British Columbia, is a place born of upheaval, formed by retreating glaciers, rising oceans and shifting tectonic plates. And the islands’ original inhabitants, the Haida, have shown almost geologic resilience in adapting, regrouping and poising for resurgence.
