The winners of the Canadian Wildlife Photography of the Year Competition have been announced! For the eighth year in a row, the competition drew thousands of impressive entries from camera-clickers across Canada. The subjects were wonderfully diverse, a reflection of the country’s biodiversity, and choosing winners was difficult.

The photos below rose to the top of each category, including the picture of an indigo bunting, snapped by 15-year-old Kylie MacEachern for the Youth category. See all the winners, including runner ups and honourable mentions, at wpy15.canadiangeographic.ca.

Stay tuned for our judges comments on why they loved each photo, coming soon!
