It was a tense moment. After nine rounds of tough questions designed to test their geography knowledge — including a trick last question that stumped all five of the young finalists — it was time to tabulate the scores. 

It had been a long road to the stage at the Canadian War Museum for Aaron Abraham, Jessica Cao, William Chapman, Jack Cheng, and James Cogswell, and for Cheng, it ended in triumph. Cheng topped the scoreboard to cinch the title of Canadian Geographic Champion and the $5,000 grand prize.

Although there could only be one champion, it was a proud moment for the other finalists and the family, friends and teachers who helped them prepare for Canada's longest-running geography competition. Fortunately for those who couldn't be present for the live final, Rogers Television has made the broadcast available in its entirety:
