Whether it was the one-hour mad dash around the ground of historic Rideau Hall or answering 44 brain-busting questions in the presence of the most famous quizmaster in the world, 20 students from across the country had an experience they’ll likely never forget while participating in the finals of the 2015 Canadian Geographic Challenge in Ottawa in May.

The Challenge, now in its 20th year, is a national geography competition that sees students from grades 7 to 10 test their knowledge of Canada and the world. The final of this year’s Challenge was a game-show-style quiz in front of a live audience at the Canadian Museum of Nature, made possible by a gift from Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek to the National Geographic Education Foundation.

These videos capture the spirit of the competition, which was won be Anzo Nguyen, a Grade 10 student from Calgary.
