This video is of a male polar bear cub born at the Toronto Zoo on Nov. 9, 2013, who had his first, wobbly walk this week. It's an important milestone for the youngster whose two siblings died shortly after birth.
While the squeal-inducing cuteness is undeniable, many commenters online took issue with the idea of keeping animals in captivity, away from their natural habitat. On the other hand, others wrote that zoos are an important tool for educating people about wildlife. Still others said zoos are necessary for conservation and animal rescue purposes.
