• The third cover from the left won the popular vote.

Boy, do clear winners in our cover vote make life easy here at Canadian Geographic. The tally for our Fall 2014 edition of Canadian Geographic Travel resulted in a runaway favourite (continuing a general trend we’ve seen over the last few issues), with option three garnering 42 per cent. (As regular Canadian Geographic Travel followers know, in advance of each issue’s publication we solicit your feedback to help us choose our cover image.)

So the decision was simple. And while we take into account our own professional expertise, as well as that of our newsstand circulation experts at St. Joseph’s Communications, publisher Gilles Gagnier is loathe to overrule the opinion of our readers without extremely good reason, so option three it is. For the record, the “pros” didn’t have any significant objections this time anyway. (When it comes to a region as striking as B.C.’s Bugaboo Mountains, can you really go wrong, anyway?) To round out the voting, options one, two and four received 12, 20 and 27 per cent, respectively.
