More than 24,000 people enrolled in the University of Alberta’s 12-week online course Dino 101: Dinosaur Paleobiology, which concluded in late March. The class, which was led by world-renowned paleontologist Philip Currie, a professor at the university and a Fellow of the RCGS, was the world’s first paleobiology “massive open online course.” Dino 101 was free or available for credit for a fee.
